A life-long Anglican and former Episcopalian, Will McQueen was born in Enterprise, Alabama, but considers Montgomery to be home. After graduating from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 1994, Father McQueen worked for Alabama Power and Georgia Power in marketing and engineering. In 2002, Fr. McQueen earned an MBA from Georgia Southern, and left Georgia Power in 2004 to pursue a calling to the priesthood.
Father McQueen holds a Master of Divinity degree from the St Luke’s School at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He served his curacy at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Thomasville, Georgia. In 2009, St. John’s Episcopal Church in Moultrie, Georgia, extended a call to Fr. McQueen to be their tenth rector. St. John’s remained in The Episcopal Church until July 2012, when Fr. McQueen and all the members of St. John’s to form St. Mark’s Anglican Church in the Anglican Church in North America. On Palm Sunday 2022, Fr. McQueen joined the founding members of Church of the Resurrection for their inaugural service.
Fr. McQueen met his wife, the former Robyn Ford, at Camp McDowell in 1987 and the two were married in 1994. The McQueen’s have two children – William, IV and Sarah Kathryn.
